Look! It's like LEGOs!! Less like legos: Boost, Oil Pressure, and Oil Temp gauges in, Triple gauge cluster out. Had to pull the dash to get the cluster out, hence the mess in the previous pictures... Below is some of the wires I have yet to run for the power. Already ran the sensor wires to the engine bay. The car's back together, and tomorrow I'll finish soldering in the last of the power wiring.
That's all for now. I may toss up a quick picture after everything's buttoned up on the interior. After that, it's just a matter of getting the turbo kit in. The upside to the long wait is they upgraded my turbos for free! Went from 16G MHI Journal Bearing twins to Garrett Ball Bearing GT2860RS Twins with 0.86 A/R Turbine Housings. Good stuff, more possibilities to increase power later on down the road, with a decreased chance of boost creep.... win-win! Except for the wait... haha. As long as I have it on for whenever our 1st spring meet is, I'll be good. Hopefully it'll be here before Christmas break

That is a lot of work to install gauges! I think in the long run you won't mind that you had to wait a little longer since you are getting upgraded turbos. Does the expected power output change with these turbos or will that be dependent upon fuel upgrades?

There are a lot more parts there than my 240Z has from the dash down to the center console! You're doing a great job on the upgrades!

Haven't updated in a while.... not a lot to update... STILL waiting on the kit. I'm debating bailing and going with a low-mount single turbo kit. Still debating it. On another note! Got the first two washes of the season under my belt, and did a full wax on it. Swirl remover, machine glaze, sealant, and top wax. Feels like butter! Here's two shots. You can see the car's drop is lower than in my first pic in my first entry due to the swift springs that were put on last year. And during my waiting time I ordered ZSpeedPerformance's Stage III daily clutch kit. 19lb flywheel, performance clutch to hold the power I want, and a heavy duty clutch slave cylinder and new master cylinder. Z34's are prone to CSC failure and I want to nip that in the bud right away. Got some whiteline diff bushings too to put the power down! That should keep me busy for a while with the install and break-in. That way if the etune falls through I can dyno without worrying about my clutch

I'm partial to twin turbos. I have both a single turbo 300z and a twin turbo 3000gt both with a 3 liter engine. Even making alliance for age difference there is a much greater thrill with the twin turbo. Which ever way you go, you are going to have a fantastic Z.

So the Z is awaiting surgery. Does this mean the turbo kit is on the way?

Thanks! Ha. And no, awaiting a refund on my turbo order, then going to order from a different vendor... Won't likely be boosted this season, pretty weak...

Luke,
Nice G35S and as Spencer mentioned, the lift blocks are genius! Normally the summer months are slower at work, but this year it's been busy. I hope you make good progress on the Z!

Just the cat back right now. Once the turbo kit comes in, I'll have test pipes. Been two years waiting, but actually heard from the company, and they say they're shipping in two weeks? I'll believe it when I see it, but hopefully get the install done and tuned before storage this winter.
