I've got 3-5 guys that I cruise around with, and we've been thinking about trying to get something together. We're up in Waterloo, but would be happy to go down to CR or Iowa City. We're a mismatched group tho, haha - 370z, S2k, Dinan 5 Series, C5 Corvette... lol but yeah we'd be happy to come down! By the way.... Anyone ever cruise up in NE iowa, around Balltown? I go there relatively often because, you know, the roads turn  |

Nice My Boss Commutes From There, In Due Time Everyone will have to Get a Set ahead Schedule to Meet up. Mostly Saturdays is what im seeing are free..
(BTW) Completly New to Iowa lol So everything Right now is far.

The car scene this year has sucked. The reason is because the guys who put the meets together are coming up with new ideas for next year. 90% of the cars are hondas owned by kids anyway. A good alternative is autocross events. These people are cool, they know what they're talking about, and wont hate on your ride. Lol. Ice cream cruise omaha was awesome, and by far the best meet/show ive been to.

Most of what I know for a car scene in this town is mostly camaro,mustang , corvette and old muscle cars. For imports it's mostly Honda as Ryan said. I guess it's up to us to create something else.

I am fine with the hondas and the mustangs. I love cars period. Its the immature people who hate on other rides, because your car isnt "hellaflush" or draging on the ground, etc... if people would grow up and appreciate cars it would make events more enjoyable. I think this forum has a lot to offer and can have a voice in future events in iowa.

Well said Ryan. I certainly didn't mean to imply that I don't like other types of cars because there are a lot that I like too. I also agree its the immature and disrespectful ones that ruin it for everyone.

Nooo car scene whatsoever here, like Ryan said lol. We are working on getting some events lined up and hopefully we can branch out a bit too, maybe get some more members. I would love to see more guys from Des Moines- maybe we could have a cruise that doesn't necessarily have to be some big event. Just one day on a random weekend or something. Could be fun.  |
